POP3 IMAP E-mail Accounts
What types of e-mail accounts are available? Which kind should you opt for when you configure your e-mail program?
There’re plenty of web-based mail service providers that you can use, but having an email with your own domain will give you more credibility if you are running a business, for example, not to mention that with web-based email services there are limits on the size of the attachments that you can receive or send. If you use an email service that supports the POP3 and IMAP email protocols, you won’t stumble upon such problems and you’ll be able to use any program on your personal computer to check your emails, including Thunderbird, Outlook or Apple Mail. You can even set up an email account on your phone. The difference between the two protocols is that with IMAP, an email message is displayed at your end, but remains on the mail server, while with POP3, the message is downloaded on your computer, unless you configure the program in such a way as to save a copy on the server.

POP3 IMAP E-mail Accounts in Cloud Website Hosting
With a
cloud website hosting from our company, you will be able to use any device and any email app to view your emails. We support the IMAP and POP3 email protocols, so you can choose either one when you configure a mailbox according to your personal preference. To make things simpler, you can download a small file from your hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section for each mailbox that you set up. You can easily set up the latter with your preferred application by simply clicking on that file. This option is an alternative to our webmail and the two services are harmonized, so if you create a folder in Outlook, for instance, it will appear both in the webmail and on any computer where the given mailbox is set up.

POP3 IMAP E-mail Accounts in Semi-dedicated Hosting
You can select between the POP3 and the IMAP email protocols if you’ve got a
semi-dedicated server plan with our company. We support both of them, so you can decide what to do with your emails – to save them to your home computer or to keep them on the mail server and to check them from multiple devices. The second option will also permit multiple individuals to check the same email account – in case you are hosting a corporate website on our servers, for instance. You can find auto-configuration files in the Email Manager section of our Hepsia hosting Control Panel, which will enable you to set up everything automatically in an app of your choice – Outlook, Thunderbird or Apple Mail, so you will not need to modify any settings manually. In case you have a smartphone, you can add any mailbox just as easily – simply follow our detailed tutorials for iPhone and Android. To make things simpler, our help articles include step-by-step screenshots.
