Dot NAME Domain Name Registrations

Established in 2001, the .NAME universal top-level extension is the only one supposed to be for personal web pages only. These domain names can be personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other designations people are famous by. At the beginning, just third-level registrations were possible, so if you desired to order john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already bought third-level names remained active.

Through our firm, you can get your .NAME domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years. You will have the chance to change the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already purchased domain to our firm if you get its EPP transfer key from the current registration provider and we will renew it when the transfer has been finished. There are no special prerequisites on who can grab a dot NAME domain, but in order to keep the objective behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may verify who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration may be challenged.
